Take a Trip with Blue Mudd Fly Fishing Charters

Come join me for the fly fishing adventure of a lifetime. I’m John West and I’ll be your host as we fish and explore the waters of the Mississippi River delta near New Orleans. The focus of the fishery is redfish, giant bull redfish. Nothing compares to the thrill of watching 30 pound redfish crawling, backing, and tailing on the skinny water flats of the Mississippi River delta. Most days these fish will readily eat just about any fly cast in front of them. That’s not to say these fish are easy, though. It takes quick accurate casts to get the fly in front of the fish. We also have the opportunity to target black drum which can be up to 40 pounds, and the illustrious sheepshead. Better known as the Cajun permit. If this is your first trip or you’re a seasoned veteran to these waters, I can take you places and show you things you will not soon forget.

Full Day:  8 hour trip (2 person max) - $800
